Enid voters will have one school board race to decide following the final day of filing Wednesday. Robbie Woods, Enid Public Schools Office 6 incumbent, will face a challenge from Colleen K. Arnold. Office 6 covers basically north and west Enid.

Airman charged with 4 felonies

A 21-year-old airman at Vance Air Force Base was charged Wednesday with four felony counts related to possession of child pornography. Senior Airman Garren S. Mallette was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography and one count of possession of obscene material.

Events to benefit Enid Toys for Tots campaign

A couple of upcoming events will benefit the Toys for Tots campaign in Enid. Janes Machine Shop will host the 15th annual toy collection and car show 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday for Toys for Tots.

Children to sing, dance in Christmas pageant

Twenty-five children from Central Christian Church, 1111 W. Broadway, will sing and dance in the presentation of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” There will be three showings of the event, directed by Janet Jones: 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Man accused of choking wife, puppy after dispute

A 25-year-old Enid man was charged with felony domestic abuse and animal abuse charges for allegedly choking his wife and their puppy. Johnny Lee Daniel was charged Tuesday with domestic assault and battery by strangulation and cruelty to animals.
